The Yorkshire Powder Burners

The Yorkshire Powder Burners are a group of enthusiasts who shoot  black powder muzzle loading and black powder breech loading guns.
Based in the South Pennines, regular sporting shoots at clays are arranged througout the year in the hills above Skipton while target shoots take place at a range near Huddersfield.

As well as the monthly clay shoot we host the MLAGB national, North of England Championships, held in April.

Members go wildfowling including punt gunning.
The club currently enjoys two days driven Pheasant shooting. Members also enjoy pigeon and rough shooting.

The club also organise visits to the Royal Armouries in Leeds to view the reserve collection, a veritable Aladdin's cave of treasure.
The Yorkshire Powder Burners extends a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors.
